What is eScrip?

It is a national fundraising program started in 1999. Sponsors donate money to schools based on how much is purchased through their store. Corporations like to donate to schools. We purchase products, corporations get the tax benefit and the LILA gets the donation. Because it’s a nationwide organization, grandparents, friends, siblings living anywhere can sign up and list LILA as the recipient.

How does it work?

Local: merchants such as Vons and Macy’s – just register the cards, remember to swipe your Vons card and use your Macy’s card, and LILA gets a donation.

Online: purchase online through shopping.escrip.com and use your debit, ATM or credit card.

Dining or hotels: register at escrip.rewardsnetwork.com, eat at one of over 20 local restaurants or stay at one of the many hotels across the country and use your debit, ATM or credit card.

Is it safe? Absolutely. It is a VeriSign Secure Site. All information is encrypted. eScrip will not sell or rent any participant information, and only the amounts purchased, not details of the items purchased, are sent to eScrip.

What if I’m signed up with another school? You may have signed up at another school, so that is where your eScrip earnings are being sent, even if your children are no longer at the school. You can easily switch to LILA to your eScrip program. You can also split your rewards to as many as three groups.

Why the sudden push for signups? Fundraising is hard. Wouldn’t it be great if we all had to do less fundraising, and programs such as this could provide additional funding to make sure our local PA can help support campus events and programs without having to ask parents to spend more money?

If you do not sign up, LILA is missing a huge opportunity. eScrip sponsors are major corporations willing and ready to donate when you purchase through them. We buy the products, either in the stores or online, but right now we may not be getting the rewards! There are thousands of dollars we aren’t getting – that could be ours!

How do I sign up? Visit www.escrip.com and follow the cues to “enroll.” Simply type Lycee International when asked for your organization.
