I guess it is pretty customary for schools to sponsor events and particpate in community activities.  So in that sense LILA is just following an American tradition... however it just feels somewhat amusing that LILA should stay true to its French culture in doing so by... sponsoring the French Consulat's Beaujolais Nouveau party!  A French school sponsoring wine... how oddly appropriate.  So if you have not already made plans for the Opera, come to UCLA and enjoy a glass of what is fundamentally not extraordinary wine!
