It would appear that the blog craze is catching on...  Simon Toselli, our athletic director, and Lyesse Tsamen, our extracurricular activities coordinator teamed up recently to create a blog to help parents get information about LILA's growing athletic program.  The blog provides an easy access to the most sought after information, namely info about game and practice schedules, news about new teams, and pictures… Contact Simon Toselli our athletic director to get the web address as it should be placed in your “my favorites” folder!

 

The athletic program, which is still relatively new at LILA, is growing at a steady and impressive pace.  LILA now has athletic teams for three of the four campuses.  There is increasing demand for girls’ teams and Simon is hard at work trying to provide more opportunities for our young ladies.  The current team line-up is:

 

SOCCER:

Los Feliz:

1 team for under 12 (NEW team)

1 team for under 11

1 team for under 14 (NEW for spring 2009)

1 team for high school students (NEW starting winter 2008)

West Valley:

1 team for under 11

 

BASKETBALL:

Los Feliz:

1 team for girls under 15 (NEW)

1 team for under 15 (NEW for spring 2009)

1 team for high school students (NEW  for spring)

1 co-ed team for under 11

Pasadena:

1 co-ed team for under 11 (NEW)

West Valley:

1 co-ed team for under 11 (NEW)

 

VOLLEYBALL:

Los Feliz:

1 team for girls Under 16 [Spring tournament in Las Vegas already planned for this team]

1 team for girls under 15 (NEW for spring 2009)

1 co-ed team for under 12

 

TRACK AND FIELD:

Elementary: Los Feliz, Pasadena, and West Valley  (Spring season)

Secondary: Los Feliz (under 15) spring.

 

BASEBALL:

Los Feliz:

1 co-ed team for elementary grades

West Valley:

1 co-ed team for elementary grades
