In March, our High School boys were matched up against the cross-town rival team from the Lycee Francais… and the match-up was at the Staples Center in celebration of French Heritage Night 2009.  It was an amazing evening for LILA with our own Lions beating the Lycee Francais Lions 51-37 in an exciting game.  As if that were not enough emotion for one day, the students stayed for the Clippers game afterwards and we all went wild when the announcer asked the audience to rise to hear LILA students sing the national anthem to the live audience.  It was a very emotional day, for a very proud LILA group.  Below you have the footage provided by the Clippers organization of our High-schoolers singing the national anthem and another video prepared by LILA’s own extracurricular activities director, Lyesse Tsamen, with pictures of the basketball game.
