Just before spring break LILA held our 3rd annual inter-campus cross country meet at Griffith Park where all the campuses met together for a friendly competition. All the students practiced hard to improve their endurance capacity for several weeks beforehand and they could not wait to represent their campus and meet new friends. It was a pleasure to see students interact and take the time to know each other. Every athlete was really ready to run and do the best he/she could!

During the first day of competition, 1st and 2nd grades met together for some relay races and a short-distance cross country race. On the second day of competition, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders met for a long-distance run. On a sunny day and with a lot of fans, students ran the 3 miles without stopping... they really put a lot effort into running! All the campuses were prepared for the competition and the atmosphere was fantastic between students, teachers and parents who came to volunteer.  We cannot wait to organize the next elementary cross country meet!

Take a look at the slide show prepared by our own master photographer Lyesse Tsamen...
