Sometimes as parents and teachers we wonder how much our kids learn, or rather how much of what they learned they actually retained.  Was it Einstein (seems like all quotes get attributed to Einstein or Twain once we have forgotten who actually said them) who wrote: "education is what remains after you have forgotten everything you learned in school"?

Well, Pasadena fourth grade teacher, Samuel Mignery, worked on an end of year project with his students in which they were able to integrate many of the valuable things that they felt they learned in 2011-2012...  the result is this clever video in which the students chat around a meal, speaking French and playing a game... the process has them bring up vocabulary, science, literature... and of course use the French they spend so much time trying to master.

The video is about 11 minutes long but it is quite funny and definitely clever...  and has English subtitles … enjoy...
